POMPANO BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – Authorities arrested a person who, they stated, attacked an aged passenger whereas driving the bus in Pompano Seaside.
Detectives for the Broward Sheriff’s Workplace introduced they arrested 33-year-old Maurice Bradwell on Friday.
Investigators stated the assault occurred close to the 600 block of Southwest twelfth Avenue, at roughly 12:40 p.m. on March 5.
Witnesses advised deputies that the aged sufferer was sitting alone on the bus when Bradwell walked up and started cursing at him.
As a result of suspect’s aggressive conduct, detectives stated, the transit driver stopped the bus and requested the passengers to exit.
When the aged man approached the driving force to ask why the bus was stopped, that’s when, authorities stated, Bradwell attacked the aged individual with out warning.
Investigators stated the assault knocked the aged man’s cellphone out of his hand and left him unconscious. Bradwell then allegedly took the person’s cellphone and exited the bus.
The aged man was transported to Broward Well being North to be handled for a number of accidents.
Bradwell faces fees for aggravated battery on an individual over 65 years of age and aggravated theft.
